Tell us about how you encountered Sedana Medical and why you joined Sedana Medical.
I first heard about the company from a former colleague who joined Sedana Medical. Following her initial journey at Sedana Medical, I got a very positive impression of the company. Later, when there was an interesting position available, I took the opportunity to join.
What do you do as a Senior Clinical Research Manager?
I work in our medical department with research projects, clinical studies, that we conduct to confirm the efficacy and safety of our products and establish a strong, long-term scientific platform. I am, together with a colleague, leading two clinical studies, that will be run in the US. As the initiation of the studies is getting closer, there are a lot of preparations to be made to ensure the studies can start on time.
We have an external partner in the US that will help us with the execution of the study. My focus is to work closely with them and follow up on their work and the progress of the project.
In a smaller company like this is, I get the opportunity to be more involved in all different aspects of clinical development, more than I would have been in a larger company. For example, I am part of the team working on the registration process in the US and interact with the authorities and other stakeholders.
What brings you the most joy in this role?
It is great to work at the Head Quarters in a global role, with colleagues around the world and in different functions. I appreciate working with such dedicated and highly qualified colleagues, both internally and externally, in a fast-paced and flexible way. I also enjoy being involved in so many different aspects of the studies. Every day, I learn new things and with my experience and knowledge within clinical trials, I can also contribute to the team.
